Nice to meet you, I'm Alaura.
As and artist and person in general, I find myself searching for the divine spark that exists in all things. For the past few years, I attended Hillsdale College; A liberal arts school dedicated to discovering and preserving the good, true, and beautiful in everyday life. I worked for the college's award-winning video marketing department and took jobs designing for school publications and clubs with some photography on the side. I then worked as a photojournalist and content creator for the Michigan News Source creating content to keep the public informed. Nowadays, I work for NavPoint Real Estate Group as the Marketing Coordinator, overseeing everything from collateral materials to web design. My work focuses primarily on capturing the essence of things whether that be a brand, person, or event.
I am proficient in programs in the Adobe Suite like Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, and Premiere. In addition to those programs, I have worked on many photo and video shoots doing pre and post production and setting up light, camera, and sound. Recently, I had the opportunity to get a certification from Google in UX Design, where I learned about market research, wireframing, prototyping, and designing with Figma.
